About us
Children Welfare Home (CWH) was established in 1995 to support abandoned, orphan, destitute and other helpless children by providing shelter, education, medical care and vocational training so that they can be good and independent citizens of Nepal.
It is a Non-Governmental, non-political and equal opportunity organization registered in Lalitpur District office. The CWH is affiliated to Social Welfare Council (SWC). Our objective is to provide a family environment, health-care and other facilities to children from poverty-stricken families, children abandoned by their parents, and orphans. We also ensure that they are provided proper education in government or private schools.
We rely on private donations, occasional assistance from the private NGOs, INGOs.
Achievements of the CWH
The CWH opened its doors in 1995 as one of the first orphanages in Lalitpur area. At that time, only twelve children stayed there. Since then, the CWH managed to reunite some children with their family or guardians, after their high school. Some others left the orphanage and became fully functioning members of society. For instance, a small number of them are studying to become doctors, some work for small businesses and some have been placed for domestic and international adoption. The organization believes that these big achievements are partly due to the good education provided to all of the childrenHowever, the CWH’s biggest achievement remains that it is now really well known in its area and that it welcomed over 500 children since 1995.
Our objectives
To provide shelter to helpless and orphan children.

To provide for the costs of education and support children’s vocational education so as to make them self-reliant in their future life.
To provide health-care and other facilities for the children living in our Home.
To ensure that the children at CWH receive a quality education.
